Hospital Pics!

Hello! Here are Greyson's hospital pictures taken by Baby Bloom on Oct0ber 7th. Baby Bloom is located in the hospital and they travel from room to room taking pictures of all of the newborns. After they are done taking the pictures they show them to you on a big screen while playing lullaby music...sheer genious!! Ryan and I thought they were the best pictures ever taken and bought the whole cd...suckers...we look at them now and think "what were we thinking?" At least my excuse was that I was hormonal...it must have rubbed off on Ryan! Enjoy!

5:30am - Hospital Parking Garage. So many emotions...nervous, anxious, excited...

7:45 am - Greyson William Wasinger is born!!!

40 Weeks! We made it!!!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along: 40 weeks!!!!

Size of the baby: According to Baby Center the average newborn weighs 7 1/2lbs (a small pumpkin) and is 20 inches long. Our sonogram last week indicated that he weighs + or - 7lbs 11oz. So most likely he will be a little bit bigger than the average newborn!

Movement: Ahh...I'm going to miss this!

Cravings: I have run out of room for food!

Sleep: I get up about once a night but the past couple of nights I wake up about every hour thinking about things that I need to do!

Symptoms: Heartburn/acid reflux/indigestion...I have no idea what its called but I am ready for it to go away! My feet and face have been swollen (my wedding ring still fits though)!
Doctor's Appointment on 9/27 (39 weeks): He had not dropped or dialated and was head down so our doctor had us come back on 9/28 for a ct scan and sonogram to check our measurements. I received a call later on Tuesday (9/28) to schedule a c-section for tomorrow 10.6.10 b/c my pelvic bones are not wide enough for the baby to fit through. We were so shocked at first but definitely trust the doctor and just want a healthy baby in the end!! So tomorrow is the BIG DAY!!!

Best moments of the week: Spending time as a family of four!

What I'm looking foward to: Meeting the little guy!

PS - Here are some pics of the nursery...its not quite done but you get the idea! Our chair arrived broken but we are hopefully receiving a new one this week. And our nightstand and lamp are on backorder...it will eventually come together!

Which pup is going to be more upset? We are currently placing bets! Poor little things don't have any idea what's coming!

38 Weeks + 3 days!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along: 38 weeks + 3 days...so close!!!

Size of the baby: He weighs about 6.8lbs and is over 19 1/2 inches long. His organs have matured and he is ready for life outside the womb! -Baby Center

Movement: My favorite part of being pregnant!

Cravings: Sweets and iced tea (I normally hate iced tea...weird)!

Sleep: I get up about once a night for a restroom break.

Symtoms: Heartburn...and cankles by the end of the day!! I "think" I have had some braxton hicks contractions too.

Doctor's Appt. on 9/20: No new news! He has not dropped or dialated...he is just hanging out head down on the left side. He was sleeping during the appt. so his heart rate was only 132.

Best moments of the week: We received our furniture yesterday!!! And putting the car seat in the car...I love seeing it every time I get in!

What I'm looking forward to: Ryan's b-day tomorrow and getting the nursery ready for the little guy!

37 Weeks - Full Term!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How far along: 37 weeks...full term!!!
Size of the baby: He weighs 6 1/3 lbs and measures a bit over 19 inches head to heel. -Baby Center
Weight gained: 30 lbs...I have caught Ryan in weight...yikes! At least its for a good cause!
Movement: He is moving all over!
Cravings: Candy Corn!!!
Sleep: Well, sleep is getting a little bit harder...I wake up when I turn and make a trip to the restroom about once a night. I think I am finally experiencing what everyone warned me about.
Symptoms: Heartburn and I'm slowing down a little bit!
Doctor's Appts. on 9/9 and 9/13: We go to the doctor every week now! The doctor checked my cervix and I have not dialated or effaced yet and the baby has not dropped (Ryan and my mom think he has since the appt. though). I am measuring only 1 week ahead now...38 cm. And the little guy's heartbeat was 154. He said everything looks great!
Best moments of the week: My friend, Erin had her baby on 9/10...Wally! It was so fun to meet the precious little guy! My other friend, Leah had a very nice GIRL baby shower/tea party on 9/12...it was fun to see all of the cute girl stuff! And we picked out furniture that will be delivered on 9/23...yay!!!

What I'm looking forward to: My prenatal massage on Sat. courtesy of my siblings and a weekend at home!
