Greyson's 1st Birthday Party!

Greyson's 1st birthday party was on Sunday, October 9th at our house.  It was pretty low key but very special b/c of all of the friends and family that were there to help us celebrate our little guy's first year!

Thankfully, I asked a friend of a friend who was soon to be my new co-worker, Ali, to come and take some pictures.  She did an amazing job and I am so happy she was there!!

10 Year HS Reunion!

So this weekend goes down in the record books as the busiest weekend ever!!  We had our 10 year high school reunion events on Friday and Saturday (that I helped plan) and then Greyson's 1st birthday party on Sunday.  AHH!!  Here are some pics from the reunion.  Ryan and I had a fun time seeing everyone!!

Happy 1st Birthday, Greyson!!!

Happy 1st birthday, Greyson! I can't believe it has already been 1 whole year! You are a true miracle and your daddy and I's dream come true! We can't imagine our lives without you and we are so in love with you!

Here are your 1 year stats:

Height - 31 3/4 (94%)

Weight - 23.5 (57%)

Head - 19 (90%)

Teeth - 4

You are wearing 12-18 month clothes and size 4 diapers. Your shoe size is about a 5.  Your footed pj's are all 18 month since you are so tall.

You are eating like a champ!  Your favorites are any kind of fruit (esp. blueberries) and Greek yogurt.  About a week before you turned one we replaced all of your bottles with sippy cups and we never looked back!  We are finishing up your formula and then you will just be drinking whole milk!  

You love to play with balls and read books!!  Your favorite words are mama, dada, Gus, ball, dog and book.  You love to babble in your own language when you play and read books...its so cute.  Your favorite tricks include: waving, clapping, touchdown, mooing like a cow, "dancing," and panting like Gus.

You are a wonderful sleeper!!  You go to bed at about 7:30 and wake up around 7ish.  You take two 1-2 hour naps a day.

You have the BEST personality.  You are so laid back but definitely very ornery.  You are super happy and go with the flow!  You have all of your grandparents and aunt and uncles wrapped around your little finger...and mommy and daddy too!

Greyson's birthday eve!

The day before Greyson turned 1 we thought it would be fun to take vacation days and spend the day with him since we knew the weekend would be crazy.  We headed out to Walter's Pumpkin Patch after his morning nap and had a blast!

So big!! I think we might have to make this a tradition and come back every year!

Then we went to dinner at Ya Ya's which I think will be a new tradition too b/c we went the year before for our 'last supper' the night before we had Greyson. It was so crazy to be there a year later and talk about how much has changed! I remember last year we were still trying to pick a name and Ryan was 'disciplining' our little boy with the different names...'Greyson mind your manners' or 'Connor stop screaming' or 'Cohen stop picking your nose.' Haha...so glad we named him Greyson...it fits so well!

I think right around this time we started ordering meals for him from the kids menu instead of packing a meal or feeding him off ours....grilled cheese is a fav!

I was pretty sentimental this day and it made working on his birthday a little bit easier! I just can't believe how fast a year went!!  Next up...the big day and the birthday party!!
